Looks for Spring

Spring Outfits x 3

Three Spring looks inspired by the black and white theme we’ve seen at Proenza Schouler,  Alexander Wang and many others this season.
I have thrown in a bit of colour to give it a lighter feel, but being my black and minimalistic self I actually prefer the look in the middle. It feels more appropriate for the icy Spring we’re experiencing in Copenhagen at the moment, but I would like to add some prints and bright colours to my wardrobe when the sun really starts to show. Hopefully soon! Click on the image for more details.

& Other Stories

&Other_Stories_Picks

So I know that the internet is drowning in posts about & Other Stories at the moment, but I too am really impressed by this brand and especially the atmosphere surrounding it. It’s accessible and mysterious at the same time, and I think the designs are really strong. These are a few of my favourite pieces – I really hope to welcome the clutches and chain necklace into my wardrobe sometime soon. The beauty line is simply stunning, find it here.

Tara Donovan

A while ago (on Valentines Day actually) my boyfriend and I went to Louisiana to see Tara Donovans solo exhibition. I found these pictures online because camaras weren’t allowed, but the pieces are even more breathtaking up close. My favourite was the big (and I mean enormous) sculpture made out of silver foil. I looked at it for at least half an hour, and it reminded me a lot of molecules. The exhibition is open until May 20th, so if you are in Denmark do yourself a favour and go to see it.

Elena Perminova

Four of my favourite outfits from Russian model Elena Perminova. Her style is more diverse than shown here, but I like it best when she goes completely minimal with black and white and strong details.

I would like to look like this in the near future!

The trousers are from Inside Am-Lul’s Closet. I’m not quite sure about the rings, but they might be from there as well. Very nice!

Altewai.Saome

Autumn / Winter 2011

Sometimes things are almost too good to be true. That’s kind of how I feel about this young Swedish duo Altewai.Saome. Their sense of tailoring and materials is superb, and it’s so refreshing to see a different take on Scandinavian fashion. The references to Paris and Milan are clear, and especially the new SS12 collection exudes Italian sportswear.

Altewai.Saome have already taken Stockholm Fashion Week by storm, but I’m sure we will see them on an even bigger scene in the near future.

Their flagship store is located in Malmö.

These shots are from the V Ave Shoe Repair SS12 show which I attended during Stockholm Fashion Week. Well done VASR, I wish I could continue to sell these beautiful pieces.

Black

Nothing like an all black outfit. This will stay an eternal favourite no matter how many stripes, flowers and neon colours I come across this season.

Dress from Balenciaga, shoes from Alexander Wang, clutch from Proenza Schouler, lace one piece from Damaris

Perfect Outfit

If I had a small fortune, I would spend my summer nights wearing this.

Shoes from Yves Saint Laurent, dress from Miu Miu, belt from Alaïa and clutch from Stella McCartney

Givenchy Dream Dress

Givenchy SS2010

I think this dress is a little masterpiece. Sexy and poetic at the same time, quite a good combination.
