Yesterday I added a few beauty products to my collection, and I am already very happy with the ones I chose.
I have been reading about the Rudolph Care Facial Scrub Mask a few times now, and since one of my all time favourite products is the açai oil from the same line I decided to give it a try. I used it once yesterday evening, and my skin already feels much more smooth and glowing. It is also a mask, so I left it on for ten minutes and it completely hydrated my skin instead og drying it out like a lot of other scrubs. I also got an açai facial cream as a gift which made this purchase even better.
I also bought Weledas Almond Facial Lotion which is one of my favourites and really good for sensitive skin.
Yesterday I ran a few errands in the city center and I came home with this really beautiful and simple belt from & Other Stories that I will use on top of my trench coats or to give a light silk dress a darker feel. I also bought a big pile of colourful envelopes from Hay which can be used for gift wrapping or sending out letters and applications, the April issue of Eurowoman and my new favourite liquorice from Johan Bülow (salt, chili & cranberry).
Spring Break! Finally! I’m not sure how to spend this week since it’s freezing outside, but I figure I will visit my family and go out to museums more. I also need to catch up on one school assignment and some drawing, but other than that it’s all about hanging out in Copenhagen and hoping to catch a glimpse of the sun.
A few really beautiful basic items that I would love to add to my wardrobe. Pieces like these are wearable all year around with a dash of colour for Spring and warm knits and layering for Fall. Click on the image for details.
I went to the opening of & Other Stories today and came home with a ring, a head band and a blue/green eye pencil. The rest is actually from the goodie bag and the lipstick was a present at the register. Very generous I must say. I am going back soon to find a few nice basic items, but there were so many people and I didn’t feel like standing in line for over an hour. But a very beutiful store filled with well designed pieces and an irresistible beauty department.
My absolute favourite show at the moment and maybe ever. It has moments that are hysterically funny, complex characters, brilliant writing and takes place in the middle of New York City. But the reason I love it the most is the central character Hannah and her relationship with the dark loner Adam. It starts out extremely akward and wierd but as the show progresses it turns into a real, raw and moving connection.
Lena Dunham who is the writer of the show and plays Hannah has created something really amazing, entertaining and raw and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
So I know that the internet is drowning in posts about & Other Stories at the moment, but I too am really impressed by this brand and especially the atmosphere surrounding it. It’s accessible and mysterious at the same time, and I think the designs are really strong. These are a few of my favourite pieces – I really hope to welcome the clutches and chain necklace into my wardrobe sometime soon. The beauty line is simply stunning, find it here.
I love the detail shots from Chanel’s Fall 2013 show. The combination of bouclé and wool, high boots and an oversize clutch is perfect, and I like the hint of chains to give the outfits a more raw everyday feel.
A while ago (on Valentines Day actually) my boyfriend and I went to Louisiana to see Tara Donovans solo exhibition. I found these pictures online because camaras weren’t allowed, but the pieces are even more breathtaking up close. My favourite was the big (and I mean enormous) sculpture made out of silver foil. I looked at it for at least half an hour, and it reminded me a lot of molecules. The exhibition is open until May 20th, so if you are in Denmark do yourself a favour and go to see it.
